Mike serves as the Director of In Schools Program for the Memphis Music Initiative.
His role is to lead the in-school program efforts, which seek to provide high quality support and music engagement to black and Latino students during school time.
Mike is an experienced nonprofit leader with over 20 years’ experience in youth development, administration, and leadership. Prior to joining MMI, he served as Assistant Director of the Urban Youth Initiative, a faith based nonprofit dedicated to equipping adults and empowering urban youth in Memphis. Throughout his career, Mike has demonstrated the ability to develop, implement, and oversee innovative programs and special projects in the city of Memphis. He has been consistently effective in building consensus and driving cooperative relationships with non-profits, churches, government agencies, community organizations, and the business community.
Finally, Mike is married to the lovely Sherrelle Arnold and together they have two sons and two daughters.
