Jennifer McGrath

Board Member

Jennifer McGrath relocated to Memphis from New York in 2017 to serve as Vice President of Education and Community Engagement at the Orpheum Theatre. She is a director, choreographer, stage manager, educator, and producer. Jen spent 14 years touring the world with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and American Ballet Theatre. She is a former director of NYU’s Summer High School Drama Program and a longtime volunteer with the Stuttering Association for the Young. Her work as a director has been seen in New York, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Ithaca, Edinburgh, and Oslo. Jennifer has stage managed the United Nations General Assembly visits of the Pope, Shakira, and Malala. She is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and has worked for Lincoln Center Theater, Blue Man Group, and Jazz at Lincoln Center, among others.  Her event producing work includes United Way, NYC Arts Education Roundtable, and 5 Annual Benefit Galas for SAY. She is a New Memphis Fellow, a member of the Cultural Coalition, a Give-365 Community Foundation A-Team member and serves on the Board of the Memphis Music Initiative. 

Jen believes strongly in the power of the arts to educate, inspire, create change, and rehabilitate and is dedicated to encouraging and making space for people to find their artistic voices.
