We support programs that offer youth innovative and creative spaces where they can engage in music programs and activities that allow them to develop a sense of autonomy and a connection to Memphis’ musical and cultural legacy. We encourage students to cultivate their voice through music and to move from passive observers to active and empowered participants in their schools, communities, and families. As they develop with the programs, youth begin to build healthy, self-affirming relationships and seek meaningful academic, professional, and personal opportunities. Our Music Fellows are paired with community organizations to ensure Memphis youth have access to high-quality music programming and opportunities.
