Data, Evaluation, and Research Manager
Andy Collins is a native of Romania whose initial background training was in Biochemistry. Exposure to the breadth of the Public Health field of social determinants of health, equity, and social justice concepts motivated Andy to pursue a graduate degree in the field at the University of Memphis. Andy was part of a team that developed and disseminated Memphis Fit Kids, a web-based tool to enhance parents’ participation in improving child health. She wrote manuscripts and grants, recommended improvements of program evaluation activities, and has extensive experience in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
Andy joined the Memphis Music Initiative team in 2018 as the Data, Evaluation, & Research Manager. She streamlines evaluation and data processes to turn data into a compelling narrative that speaks about our efforts to support equitable access of Black and brown youth to music- and arts-based opportunities in Memphis.
