Media Administrative Assistant
April Freeman is a creative specialist with experience in photography, videography, writing, acting, editing, graphic design and artist development. She is also a drummer with over 15 years of professional experience. She holds a B.A. in English from Tougaloo College, and began her professional career in education with the Achievement School district as a Behavior Analyst and School administrator. In 2018 she started a photography business, Freeman Photography, that created a path to work with many well-known names, businesses, and organizations—one being MMI. She worked independently with MMI on several projects until joining the team full time in 2023. April is a Chicago native, with deep southern roots and an everlasting love for music and arts.
